Our client, the food service industry, is seeking entry level cooks to join their team. As an entry level cook at this local college, you will be part of the culinary team supporting university dining services. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Entry Level Cook at a local college

Location: Indianola, IA

Pay Range: $18.3

Shift: Mon, Thurs, Fri 2pm-10PM : Weekends 7AM-3PM

What's the Job?

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

• No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
