Full job description

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Lab Tech to join their team. As a Lab Tech, you will be part of the Micro Department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Tech

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $20.00 hour

Shift: First shift hours 6am-3:20pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Operate and set up straightforward equipment to produce quality products according to build signals
  • Gather materials and maintain the quality of products produced according to department standards and specifications
  • Meet productivity standards and assist in ensuring all chemistries are made per schedule
  • Record and maintain quality or traceability information, including final product quality control
  • Comply with safety policies, including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, and proper storage of tools

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent required
  • Six months of production experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Good reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to learn machine operations, including setup and changeover
