Job Details
We are seeking Insurance Recovery Attorney to join our growing litigation and policyholder-side insurance recovery practice.
This position offers the opportunity to represent corporate policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes and recovery matters involving a variety of commercial insurance products.
The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and a demonstrated interest in insurance coverage and recovery issues.
Attorneys will work closely with clients and firm leadership on high-stakes matters from pre-litigation counseling through trial, arbitration, and appeal.
Responsibilities
Represent policyholders in insurance coverage and recovery disputes.
Analyze commercial insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage obligations.
Advise clients regarding insurance claims, risk mitigation strategies, and recovery opportunities.
Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediation, arbitration, trial preparation, and appeals.
Draft coverage opinions, legal memoranda, motions, briefs, and client correspondence.
Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex matters involving construction, environmental, business, and commercial disputes.
Manage and develop strong client relationships while delivering excellent client service.
Participate in business development and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active license and good standing with the state bar.
2+ years of insurance coverage, insurance recovery, commercial litigation, or related experience.
Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, including property, liability, professional liability, D&O, E&O, cyber, and other specialty coverages.
Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
Experience handling complex litigation matters in state and federal courts.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
Experience representing policyholders in insurance recovery matters.
Trial, arbitration, or appellate experience.
Portable business is welcome but not required.
Experience working with corporate, construction, real estate, environmental, or professional services clients.
