Salary information: $17.00 an hour

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team in Portland. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed physical therapists while ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining an efficient therapy environment.
- Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
- Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas
- Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records
- Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory
- Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation
- Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology
- Experience with electronic health records systems preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care
Salary information: $17.00 an hour
