The Regional Director is responsible for providing overall leadership, support, and oversight of assigned programs, offices, and service regions. This position collaborates closely with executive leadership to ensure quality services, operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, regulatory compliance, staff development, and positive outcomes for individuals served. The Regional Director promotes organizational values while ensuring service delivery meets contractual, funding, and quality standards throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead assigned offices, programs, and service regions to ensure exceptional services and positive outcomes for individuals supported.
· Develop, mentor, and support leadership teams to strengthen employee performance, engagement, and professional growth.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, referral sources, funding agencies, and stakeholders.
· Oversee quality management activities, program reviews, field observations, and corrective action planning to ensure service excellence.
· Monitor client satisfaction, program performance, and contractual outcomes to support continuous improvement.
· Direct staffing strategies, recruitment efforts, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and personnel development initiatives.
· Manage regional budgets, revenue goals, expenses, financial reporting, billing processes, and fiscal performance.
· Ensure compliance with DMH requirements, CARF standards, Medicaid guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and organizational policies.
· Support referral acceptance processes and coordinate service delivery resources to meet community and client needs.
· Review incident reports, requests for change, safety concerns, and operational issues within required timeframes.
· Promote organizational growth through networking, marketing, community engagement, and partnership development activities.
· Participate in strategic planning, organizational committees, leadership meetings, and service expansion initiatives.
· Oversee grants, contracts, reporting requirements, budget tracking, renewals, and funding-related responsibilities.
· Collaborate across organizational service lines to promote coordinated, high-quality care and support.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
· Master's degree in a related field preferred.
· Minimum of five years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Services, or a related field preferred.
· Two or more years of leadership experience in employment services, personnel management, social services, or a related field preferred.
· Knowledge of Missouri Department of Mental Health Developmental Disabilities guidelines and Medicaid requirements.
Additional Qualifications:
· Successful completion of criminal background, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint screenings.
· Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.
· Must have current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification.
· Strong customer service, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, internet platforms, and electronic systems.
· Experience supervising, coaching, and building effective teams.
· Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations.
· Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, referral partners, and stakeholders.
· Understanding of services and supports for individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment, education, and independent living.
· Knowledge of the Individualized Support Plan process.
· Willingness to work direct care shifts when necessary.
· Ability and willingness to follow through on routine and emergency situations.
Physical Requirements
· Perform sedentary work requiring exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
· Use hands, fingers, and arms repetitively for typing, writing, and computer-related tasks throughout the workday.
· Remain seated for extended periods of time while performing job duties.
· Occasionally walk or stand for brief periods during the workday.
· Push, pull, lift, carry, or otherwise move light objects as needed.
