Full job description

Special Education Teacher position for a 36-week contract in Surprise, AZ. Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs while collaborating with classroom staff. Earn up to $57 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized special education services to students in a school setting

  • Collaborate with classroom staff and parents to develop and implement IEPs

  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment conducive to student success

  • Adhere to all district policies, state regulations, and safety protocols

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or an equivalent field

  • Valid Education Certification or License in Special Education

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting with strong special education strategies

  • Must have Legacy facility requirements

  • Adaptability, patience, and strong communication skills

  • Background checks and compliance with school district policies

  • Ability to work a daytime schedule, 40 hours per week
