This is a Monday - Friday position, 8AM - 5PM with no evenings, weekends or holidays.Summary
Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. May measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.Job Description
Join our Home Infusion Pharmacy team and help prepare medications that allow patients to safely receive infusion therapy at home.
In this role, you will spend most of your time preparing sterile compounded medications in our cleanroom. You will work closely with pharmacists and other team members to ensure every preparation is accurate, safe, and ready for delivery when the patient needs it.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare sterile compounded medications using aseptic technique
- Follow USP standards, established procedures, and pharmacist-verified instructions
- Accurately measure, mix, label, package, and store infusion medications
- Maintain cleanroom cleanliness and complete required documentation
- Prepare pumps, administration supplies, flushes, and other items needed for patient therapy
- Monitor medication and supply inventory, expiration dates, and storage conditions
- Assist with staging and coordinating patient deliveries
- Communicate concerns, discrepancies, or safety issues promptly
- Support quality improvement and regulatory readiness activities

Qualifications
High School graduate or general education diploma (GED) required.
South Dakota: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the SD Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days from the date of hire. As of September 12, 2024, the state of South Dakota requires technician certification in the following roles: A Technician Providing immunizations, a Technician working in a Remote Pharmacy, other advanced functions as approved per the Board
