- Leads and participates in strategic planning for the department to achieve goals, regulatory compliance, and objectives consistent with organizational vision.
- Develops relationships with leadership to deploy quality cleaning methodologies consistent with care standards.
- Supervises the operations of personnel to ensure smooth, efficient, and courteous service to customers, partners, and team members.
- Creates, manages, and analyzes annual budgets for revenue, labor, and non-labor expenses, optimizing staffing effectiveness.
- Establishes and maintains customer satisfaction to ensure the highest quality service.
- Provides consistent improvement in patient satisfaction survey results.
- Administers required customer surveys and responds with a plan of action for areas not meeting expectations.
- Executes programs to meet unique needs under administrative sponsors’ direction.
- Plans, organizes, and delegates activities for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the department.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of policies, procedures, and standards aligning department operations with regulatory guidelines.
- Identifies and utilizes processes and resources that support optimal delivery of data and information to leadership and staff.
- Manages employees by hiring, terminating, directing, monitoring, and correcting performance to ensure adequate quality of work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have operational, functional, and strong business acumen skills and knowledge of the Director EVS, Patient Transport, & Volunteer Services processes, including the clinical and non-clinical areas. [Required]
- Assures current operations are compliant with government and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Computer proficiency required with basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). [Required]
- Must have proven operational experience at the managerial level. [Required]
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and general management skills, must be service-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. [Required]
- Ability to maintain productivity goals and supply costs according to budgetary targets. [Required]
- Ability to manage the day-to-day activities in supervising EVS and Patient Transport leaders and staff including mentoring, training, hiring, terminations, orienting, and evaluating performance. [Required]
- Knowledge about best practice environmental cleanliness and patient transportation protocols.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English. [Required]
Education:
- Associate [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 5+ in management/leadership of healthcare environmental services or patient transport [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Driver's License (DL) [Required]
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Service Professional (CHESP) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$97,219.20 - $180,835.20Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
