Full job description

Join Southeastern Massachusetts and the South Coast's Leading Teaching Practice for Physical Therapy!

If you're a PT who wants to actually practice, not chase productivity numbers, Physical Therapy U was built for you. PTU is a Highbar Practice, built around clinical autonomy, real mentorship, and a career that doesn't require burning out to succeed. The kind of practice where you get to practice at the top of your license (PATTOTL)! Here's what sets this role apart:

  • Patient volume: Under 12 patients per day
  • Student loans: We pay them down until they're gone
  • Professional development: $15,000+ invested in your first 18-24 months
  • Visit structure: 1:1 patient care
  • Documentation: AI-supported + Prompt EMR to cut down on after-hours charting
  • Schedules: Predictable and thoughtfully built
  • Support staff: Exercise Specialists on the floor, so you can focus on being a clinician
  • Autonomy: You decide the plan of care - PT-led clinical decisions
  • Leadership: Direct access to PT leaders who have been in your shoes
We believe clarity builds trust. If something starts to creep toward burnout, leadership intervenes early. That's part of the job design, not an afterthought.

Mentorship & Professional Development:

PTU is a teaching practice by design. Professional development is part of your workweek- not something you squeeze in to meet your CEU requirements:

  • 2 paid mentorship hours/week for your first 12 weeks
  • Structured onboarding with a Clinic Director + Peer Mentor
  • Monthly Skillz meetings (onsite CE, every month)
  • Core-4 Series to align clinical decision-making and PATTOTL principles
  • In-house Orthopedic Residency, Dry Needling (Level I & II), and COMT pathways
  • Specialty SIGs (Pelvic Health, Sports, Neuro, Vestibular, Pediatrics, and more)

About PTU

Physical Therapy U serves Southeastern Massachusetts and the South Coast, delivering accessible, expert physical therapy care. A Highbar Practice, Physical Therapy U operates within the Highbar teaching practice model, investing in its clinicians and its community.

You'll Thrive at PTU if You Value:

  • Practicing as a clinician, not a productivity unit
  • Autonomy paired with real support
  • Clear expectations around workload and growth
  • Leadership with clinical backgrounds
  • Feedback that is welcomed and acted on

What You'll Need:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • Active PT license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • A desire to grow clinically, contribute to a team, and practice thoughtfully
