Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience with 1 month within the last 6 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cath Lab and IR experience preferred. Impella experience preferred.

Required Credentials: If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Special Requests: Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will NOT be considered. You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. RTO up to 7 days; holidays or requests for more than 7 days must be sent for approval.

Unit Details: Cath Lab cases include LHC/RHC, diagnostic and interventional cases, IABPs, Rotablator, STEMIs/MIs, pacemakers, generator changes, and MICRAs. No EP/ablations. IR cases include coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, central lines, ports, G/GJ tubes from scratch and exchanges, IVC filters, tunneled and temporary dialysis catheters, Inari/Penumbra/EKOS for clots, shockwave, and assisting CT/MRI with biopsies. No Neuro IR or Y90s. Hybrid room cases include AAA grafts, peripheral/AO runoffs, and fistulograms. Each room uses 3-person teams. No transporter. RNs read/interpret EKGs, circulate, sedate, and transport; case monitoring is optional if they know how. If no ICU RN is available to take an IABP, the Cath Lab RN accompanies transport to Tacoma General and is responsible for the IABP. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Merge hemodynamic monitoring, GE C-arms, and MedRad injector.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation is call only. On-call required: 1-2 weekday call shifts from end of shift until the following morning, plus 1 weekend per month from end of shift Friday to Monday morning. 30-minute response time. Call team includes 2 techs and 2 RNs. Holiday call coverage every other holiday. Self-scheduling with minor adjustments to fill gaps. Buddy call during orientation.
