Full job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic Machining team. In this role, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between innovative additive manufacturing and the demanding requirements of precision machining.
This is a fulltime position working Monday through Friday from 6:00am until 2:30pm.
What you'll do:
You will be responsible for the hands-on machining of complex, additively manufactured parts, transforming them into finished products with exacting specifications.
Your role will involve:
- Precision and setup: Perform complex machine setups, including selecting and loading the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for advanced CNC mills, lathes, and other machinery.
- Blueprint mastery: Interpret and translate complex technical blueprints, drawings, and CAD/CAM files, applying your strong knowledge of GD&T to determine the most effective machining methods.
- Real-time adjustments: Operate and monitor advanced CNC equipment, running programs, performing measurements, and making real-time adjustments to ensure all parts meet precise tolerances.
- Expert troubleshooting: Proactively diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions or process issues to minimize downtime and maintain impeccable production quality.
- Quality assurance: Conduct meticulous dimensional inspections using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges, documenting all data according to quality plans.
- Operational readiness: Manage job status and time, including requisitioning necessary tooling to ensure you and your team are always ready for the next challenge.
- Safe and organized workspace: Uphold the highest safety protocols, perform routine machine maintenance, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Who you are: Your qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers (e.g., HAAS or similar controls).
- Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and CAD files, with a strong working knowledge of GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, and gauges.
- Strong computer skills, with experience in G-code editing and MasterCAM programming.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, a strong attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
