Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific goals and needs of patients.
• Assist in conducting evaluations and selecting appropriate therapeutic exercises and modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Monitor patient progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with hospital standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and daily activities, ensuring they understand the importance of adherence to their treatment plan.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable treatment environment, actively managing any potential risks and addressing patient concerns.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to the overall improvement of department practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of your role will be on adult and geriatric patients who may be experiencing a wide range of conditions including post-operative recovery, neurological disorders, and orthopedic injuries. Your expertise will help patients regain their strength and independence, improving their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. You will also develop strong relationships with patients, providing both emotional and physical support while guiding them through their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Florida PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• A compassionate demeanour and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desired.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and rehabilitation software.
• Experience in delivering patient education and conducting group therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

Empower Concierge Rehab and PT offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
