Function Better Physical Therapy Services is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a hospital setting. Work Environment
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work onsite in a state-of-the-art hospital facility equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized Plan of Care (POC) for patients, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols and effective communication of patient progress.
- Deliver hands-on manual therapy and functional exercise interventions to help patients regain strength and mobility, including assisting in gait training and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
- Document patient care and treatment activities in an accurate and timely manner to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate effective billing practices.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation professionals, to create a seamless care experience for patients.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding patient care and documentation, maintaining the highest standards of safety and ethics.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-operative patients, athletes recovering from injuries, and individuals managing chronic pain or mobility issues. By utilizing a functional approach, you will play a crucial role in helping these patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and reintegrate into daily activities.
Qualifications
- NYS Licensure: Must possess a valid New York State license for Physical Therapy Assistants.
- Accredited Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, ensuring both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
- Clinical and Business Acumen: An ability to balance patient-centered care with understanding the organization’s operational needs.
