The Student Respiratory position provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services for adult patients to the extent that their Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care allows. This is a developmental position, intended for incumbents to gain the expertise and skills to successfully complete education requirements.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Schedule procedures.
  • Inform supervisor of problems as they arise.
  • Communicate and interact with physicians.
  • Follow hospital infection control and isolation procedures.

Qualifications

  • Required Enrolled in program Enrolled in Accredited Respiratory Program
  • Required High School Diploma/GED
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Student Permit to Practice Respiratory Care - State Licensing Board
