Hexcel is currently seeking an Electrician for our Fibers Salt Lake City, UT, USA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain VFDs, AC/DC motors, SCRs, drives, and process instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, heating, and refrigeration systems
  • Install and maintain electrical systems (480V, 240V, 120V, and low voltage)
  • Diagnose, disassemble, repair, or replace faulty electrical and electronic components
  • Inspect, adjust, clean, and calibrate equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete assigned calibrations
  • Troubleshoot and improve process controls, burners, ovens, and related systems
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings; update documentation to reflect as-built changes
  • Follow NEC codes, industry standards, and safe work practices including PPE requirements
  • Use CMMS to document work, track tasks, and communicate effectively with teams and supervisors


Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Must be a fully qualified journeyman electrician/electronic technician with a minimum of 5 years industry experience. Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to electronic formulas. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as determination of test reliability and validity and electronic theory.
  • Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Utah state electricians license preferred
  • Knowledge of vfd (variable frequency drive) and control systems
