POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for coordination, communication, planning, implementation, oversight, auditing, and monitoring service performance of departmental compliance programs. As assigned, provides supervision to assigned LVN personnel in the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center and Cyndi Taylor Krier Juvenile Correctional Treatment Center to assist in monitoring health care services and ensuring compliance with the established policies and procedures of the University Health and Detention Health Care Services. Serves as the department Health and Safety (HSA), Tuberculosis (TB) and Medical Supply coordinator. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Graduation from an n accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Must have at least three years experience in health care delivery. One year experience in a supervisory/management position within a health care setting is preferred. One year of compliance with compliance monitoring within a health care setting is preferred. Certification in Correctional Health Care is preferred. LICENSURE Must possess a current license to practice Vocation Nursing in the State of Texas. Certification in Correctional Health Care is preferred. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
