Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2860 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Special Requests: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system. If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from the perm facility. Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years. Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have Total Joint Replacement experience and not just fractures. Must have strong ortho experience.

Unit Details: The unit includes orthopedic and telemetry care. Common patient cases include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures. Respiratory therapy support and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen are available as needed.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule. Travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements: May float to 7E, 7W, 10W, or 10E.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
