Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: LPN EKG exam is required; the medication portion of the normal EKG exam will not be accepted. High School Degree or GED. Completion of an accredited LPN (Licensed Practical Nursing) Program.

Unit Details: 3 East has a primary focus on neurology. Patient populations and cases include neuro/neurosurgical, cardiac, renal, and med/surg patients, including post-cath without intervention, stable arrhythmias, post-pacemakers, syncope, and chronic renal failure. Common drip: Heparin. Oxygen support includes stable trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow; no ventilators; maximum O2 requirement is 6L. Team nursing model: 1:10 team ratio; one RN takes 5 patients and one LPN takes 5 patients. The goal is to have the charge nurse out of ratio. Patient population ranges from neonates through geriatrics.

Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend; every other holiday.
