Position Overview
Thrive & Flourish Health Network is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in Lynchburg, Virginia. This full-time, onsite position is pivotal in enhancing patient mobility and improving overall health outcomes. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Implement prescribed treatment plans developed by physical therapists, ensuring interventions are carried out in a technically proficient manner.
- Educate and instruct patients on tailored exercise programs, providing guidance on proper techniques to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
- Assess patient needs through careful observation and communication, fostering an environment of compassion and empathy that recognizes individual differences.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments, maintaining accurate records to ensure continuity of care.
- Utilize current research to inform treatment strategies aimed at pain reduction, mobility enhancement, and injury prevention.
- Engage in comprehensive data collection related to patient performance and progress.
- Work closely with therapists to recommend adjustments to treatment plans based on patient responses and outcomes.
- Stay current with industry regulations and standards, ensuring ethical practice and adherence to legal guidelines.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The PTA will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and patients experiencing long-term disabilities. Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, or an Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Current and valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Solid understanding of physical therapy principles, anatomy, and physiology.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
- Familiarity with various physical therapy techniques and modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
