Full job description

Light Assembler
Location: 3255 Arbor Court, Winchester, VA 22602
Work Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00/Hour

Dixon is looking for a dedicated Light Assembler to join our team in Winchester, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for the high-quality and timely assembly of vital components using small hand tools and machinery. Whether you are building on years of manufacturing experience or looking to start a new career path, we are looking for a motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong mechanical aptitude.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform accurate and efficient assembly of components using hand tools and machining equipment.
  • Inspect parts during and after the assembly process to ensure they meet our strict product quality and accuracy standards.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to accurately report daily production metrics and output.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and promptly communicate any operational non-conformances or issues to leadership.
  • Keep a primary focus on safe production, strong attention to detail, and consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.


What We're Looking For:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills (specifically addition and subtraction).
  • 1+ years of previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • A highly detail-oriented, dedicated, and enthusiastic team player who is motivated by goal completion and producing quality work.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 20-30 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to efficiently complete repetitive motions.
  • High flexibility and dexterity in fingers and hands for the precise manipulation of small parts and components.
  • Ability to stand/work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Note: Steel-toe shoes are required for this position.
