This acute care hospital operates approximately 275 beds and provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services. The facility maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support gastroenterology coverage across inpatient and OR settings. Locum tenens gastroenterology coverage is sought to address ongoing staffing needs beginning in September.

New York offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor recreation and cultural attractions throughout the state. Notable destinations include Watkins Glen State Park in the Finger Lakes region, which features a gorge trail with 19 waterfalls, as well as scenic state parks and the Walkway Over the Hudson in the Hudson Valley. The state supports year-round activities including hiking, biking, boating, fishing, county fairs, and farm festivals across its diverse regions.

The gastroenterologist will provide inpatient and OR gastroenterology coverage on a 24-hour call basis, with approximately 2 weeks of call coverage per month at this on-site facility in NY. Call coverage is the primary responsibility; clinicians who are available to perform outpatient scopes 2-3 days per week and participate in clinic sessions would provide added value to the facility. Clinicians who are open to OR and block time are encouraged to apply. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required, along with an active New York license and DEA.
