Essential Duties and Tasks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily and meet all health, safety, and housekeeping regulations.   • Operate warehouse and office equipment as needed.
  • Read and follow instructions.
  • Keep warehouse and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging and cleanliness requirements.
  • Verification and tracking of all material received, shipped, moved including quantity, size, and packaging.
  • Communicates with Machine centers, material handling, transportation carriers, purchasing, and management; via phone and/or email and schedules delivery/shipping appointments.
  • Work closely with customer service and materials management to ensure scheduled shipment/delivery changes are communicated timely and to the proper group.
  • Insert scheduled delivery and shipment appointments updating the system with changes.
  • Accurately pre-receive all inbound material; after product delivers, completing the systematic receiving functions, verifying receipt completion.
  • Monitor status of inbound scheduled loads; notifying management team when overbooking is occurring.
  • Monitor status of dock activity coordinating and dispatching all arriving inbound/outbound activity to the appropriate dock unloading/loading areas.
  • Scan receipt delivery documents into the file.
  • Assist with training new associates into the department.
  • Back-up Material Handling as needed.
  • May provide periodic inventory and cycle counts.
  • Other duties, as necessary.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Prior equipment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
  • Solid working knowledge of warehouse processes and related manufacturing
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), email and calendar capabilities.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

This position is Monday-Friday 8 hour days.
