Full job description

Our client, a leader in facility management services, is seeking a Facilities Technician 2 to join their team. As a Facilities Technician 2, you will be part of the maintenance support department supporting onsite operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Facilities Technician 2

Location: Kansas City, MO

Pay Range: $26

Shift: Evenings

What's the Job?

  • Monitor the facility to ensure safety, security, and proper maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot power, HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform general and preventative maintenance, including carpentry and plumbing.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee equipment replacements such as lighting bulbs and ballasts.
  • Assist in moving machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed.

What's Needed?

  • Familiarity with chillers, water pumps, boilers, electrical systems, and related equipment.
  • Capable computer skills for maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • High school diploma or GED required; 2-4 years of field experience preferred.
  • Trade school training in HVAC will be considered.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate interpersonal skills, and pay close attention to detail.
