SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a Breast Surgeon to step into a high-impact, leadership-ready role within one of the region's most active and respected breast programs. This is a rare opportunity to inherit and grow a well-established practice following the retirement of a long-tenured surgeon, offering immediate access to a strong referral base, experienced staff, and consistent case volume.
Join the second busiest breast program in the St. Louis region , where you'll practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across the continuum of breast care. This role also offers a faculty appointment with Saint Louis University School of Medicine , blending clinical excellence with academic engagement.

Practice Overview
Clinical Scope & Environment
Primarily outpatient breast surgery practice

Fully equipped, on-campus clinic with 3 exam rooms and private office
Dedicated breast surgery nurse practitioner
Highly experienced, breast-focused support staff
Established and expanding referral network
Your Role
Clinical Excellence
Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based breast surgical care
Provide compassionate, patient-centered treatment across the care continuum
Collaborate closely with oncology, radiology, and pathology teams
Academic Engagement
Faculty appointment with Saint Louis University School of Medicine
Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and trainees
Participate in clinical education, case discussions, and potential research initiatives
Multidisciplinary Leadership
Active participation in tumor boards and care coordination
Partner across specialties to drive high-quality outcomes
Contribute to program growth, innovation, and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
Fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology (or equivalent experience)
Passion for multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care
Interest in teaching, mentorship, and academic collaboration
Strong communicator and team-oriented leader
