Job Description/Responsibilities:

As a Processing Technician Lead, you’ll help lead the daily operations of our Processing Department to ensure products are blended, batched, filtered, and prepared safely and accurately to meet production schedules. You’ll provide hands-on leadership to the team, oversee bulk receiving and inventory activities, and help troubleshoot processing issues to keep production moving. This role is ideal for someone with strong processing or beverage manufacturing experience who enjoys leading a team and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead daily processing activities, including blending, batching, filtering, transferring, and preparation of products according to approved formulas and company specifications.
  • Coordinate with the team to meet production schedules while maintaining safe operations, product quality, GMPs, and housekeeping standards.
  • Oversee blending adjustments and fixes, batch approvals, bulk receiving, inventory management, and accurate production documentation.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, training, and support to Processing Technicians and temporary employees while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Identify and resolve processing, equipment, quality, and production issues while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in processing, batching, blending, beverage manufacturing, food manufacturing, or a related production environment.
  • Previous experience leading, training, or providing direction to employees in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of processing, batching, blending, GMPs, safety procedures, and production documentation with the ability to troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the alcohol beverage, food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Experience with bulk liquid receiving, inventory management, tank operations, or beverage processing equipment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance and safely operate industrial equipment, including forklifts.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, and move throughout the processing area during a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, wet and humid conditions, loud noise, and required PPE.
