Job Description


Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while performing various patient registration, scheduling, and admission functions to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processes appointment requests for all types of outpatient appointments for new and established patients

  • Obtains patient consents

  • Performs registration of patients

  • Completes verification of insurance prior to patient arrival for services

  • Identifies uninsured patients to perform financial counseling

  • Assists with completing applications for external sources


Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma

  • 1 year experience in scheduling and registration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)


Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
