Infant Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience – River Vale, NJ
Pay: $17–$19 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking an experienced and nurturing Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our Infant Lead Teacher creates a warm, responsive classroom where babies feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore. We're looking for someone who already has experience caring for infants or young children in a professional childcare setting and is confident supporting the unique routines and developmental needs of our youngest learners.

What You'll Do

• Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroom
  
  
• Provide attentive, responsive care throughout the day
  
  
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, nap, and daily routines
  
  
• Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiences
  
  
• Encourage cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
  
  
• Observe developmental progress and celebrate important milestones
  
  
• Maintain accurate classroom records and daily communication
  
  
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
  
  
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
  
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
  
  
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
  
  
• Previous professional childcare or early childhood education experience required
  
  
• Infant classroom experience strongly preferred
  
  
• Previous Lead Teacher experience is a plus
  
  
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required
  
  
• Comfortable with feeding, diapering, safe sleep practices, and individualized infant routines
  
  
• Patient, dependable, nurturing, and confident leading a classroom
  
  
• Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
