Full job description

School Occupational Therapist contract for 18 weeks in Bethel, CT, providing therapeutic services to students under IEPs and collaborating with school staff to support student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students per IEPs

  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop individualized plans

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs

  • Implement therapy sessions, both individual and group-based

  • Document progress and communicate effectively with staff and families

Qualifications:

  • Connecticut OT License or equivalent

  • Valid CT OT License mandatory

  • Minimum 1 year experience in school settings

  • Strong understanding of IEPs

  • Ability to work with students from Kindergarten through High School

  • Ability to work days on a 4-10 shift schedule

  • Experience with group therapy

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Background checks as required

  • Physically capable of working with school-aged children

  • Comfortable with caseload of approximately 23 IEP service hours
