Full job description
Our client, a leading logistics organization, is seeking a Materials Clerk to join their team. As a Materials Clerk, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the shipping, receiving, inventory management, and documentation processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Materials Clerk
Location: Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: $19.40
Shift: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents and resolving discrepancies
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, unload, unpack, and document received goods accurately
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve logistics issues and provide excellent customer service
- Manage transactions related to outsourced processes, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in logistics or a similar role
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle) and MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
