Erie, Pennsylvania . This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to care for a diverse and complex patient population at a leading regional referral center serving northwest Pennsylvania. Work within a collegial team of experienced hospitalists supported by dedicated APPs, strong physician leadership, and established clinical programs. With a culture centered on collaboration, quality care, and physician well-being, UPMC Hamot provides an outstanding environment for both new and experienced hospitalists.
Block Schedule: 4 on, 6 off (12-hour shifts)
Closed ICU
Only Trauma Center within 100 miles
Integrated Epic EMR
Hospital patient volume is

approximately 26,900 patients per year
Staffed with Advanced Provider support

(Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) coverage daily
Collaborative

nocturnal coverage team comprised of five Nocturnists
Manage an average of 8-12 admissions per shift , supported by a robust team-based care model
Overnight staffing includes two Nocturnists and one APP , ensuring shared workload and clinical support.
Residency programs at UPMC Hamot

include: ENT, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery and Hand Fellowship
Qualifications:
MD/DO from an accredited medical school
Accredited Internal Medicine or inpatient-focused Family Medicine Residency Program completion
American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
DEA certification
