Located in the maritime hub of Bellingham, WA, AAM specializes in designing and building advanced, fuel-efficient boats for commercial, research, and passenger transportation.

Role Overview

As an Experienced Marine Electrician, you’ll build dependable, standards-compliant electrical systems on custom aluminum vessels—supporting quality, safety, and production timelines from rough-in through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install marine electrical systems; route, secure, and finish wireways, penetrations, and foundations
- Produce clean terminations; perform independent circuit testing and document results
- Integrate advanced electronics (radar, sounders, AIS, A/V)
- Read drawings, apply red-line updates, and coordinate with trades/management to resolve fit/finish and revision impacts

Required qualifications/skills:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a marine electrician
- Eagerness to learn; humble, teachable approach and strong work ethic
- Clear communication and solid relationship skills
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

On the Build Deck

You’ll start onsite by reviewing the build board, current prints, and open QC items, then staging materials and confirming parts align to the latest revision. Throughout the shift, you’ll move between hulls, engine rooms, and console spaces—checking clearances, verifying labels, and keeping workmanship consistent. You’ll track change notes, keep test records and punch items organized, and coordinate clean handoffs so downstream teams can proceed without rework. Before wrap-up, you’ll align priorities for the next push, tidy the area, and leave the space safe and ready for continued production.
