About the Role


As the Office Manager at Merryhill School, you will oversee essential administrative and financial processes while helping create an organized, professional, and welcoming experience for students, families, staff, and visitors.

You will serve as a trusted partner to school leadership, supporting tuition collection, student account administration, financial recordkeeping, regulatory documentation, and daily front office operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized, customer-focused professional who can balance multiple priorities while handling sensitive information with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.

You will also:

  • Manage tuition collection and follow up professionally and consistently on past-due accounts

  • Establish and maintain student accounts in support of enrollment and ongoing school operations

  • Maintain accurate financial, student, administrative, and office records

  • Assist with budget tracking, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit preparation

  • Provide guidance and administrative support related to accounting and financial procedures

  • Complete required agency and government documentation accurately and within established deadlines

  • Partner with school leadership and staff to support efficient daily campus operations

  • Manage front office responsibilities and provide responsive, professional customer service to families and visitors

  • Safeguard confidential student, family, employee, and financial information

  • Prepare records and supporting documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment

  • Model and uphold Merryhill School policies, procedures, and commitment to a family-centered culture



What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, administration, or a related field preferred

  • Four or more years of experience in office management, administration, accounting, finance, or a related operational role

  • Previous experience in a school, education, childcare, or other family-centered environment preferred

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with families, employees, and school leaders

  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced school environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using financial, accounting, student information, or business management systems

  • Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately

  • Professional, collaborative, and customer-focused approach

  • Ability to successfully complete state and federal background checks and meet all applicable employment requirements
