Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2670 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - MidAmerica Division.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: Surgical specialty unit with a high-paced environment. Patient ratios: 4:1 total patient care, 5:1 with a patient care tech. Uses Alaris IV pumps, CADD epidural, Alaris PCA, Pyxis medication dispensing machine, telemetry, EKG, bladder scanner, wound vacs, capnostream machines, and SCD pumps. Procedures include ostomy management and irrigation, NGT placement and management, Foley catheter placement and maintenance, central line management, JP drains, wound management, IV starts, blood administration, nutritional supplementation including but not limited to TPN, and G/J tubes.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 48 per week preferred. Every 3rd weekend, two Mondays and Fridays per 4 week scheduling period.

Floating Requirements: Float to like medical/surgical/telemetry units including ortho neuro center, med/tele, 4N, and CDU.
