The Maintenance I teammate is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other industrial machinery. The technician ensures that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Maintain distribution center building, plumbing, electrical and other systems as needed.

The Maintenance I teammate is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems, and other industrial machinery. The technician ensures that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Maintain distribution center building, plumbing, electrical and other systems as needed.

- Pay rate: $24.00 - 28.00 per hour. (Based on Experience)

What you'll do as a Warehouse Maintenance I:
- Inspection & Diagnostics: Inspect and diagnose faults or malfunctions in material handling equipment to identify root causes.
- Repairs & Replacements: Repair or replace defective parts; assemble or disassemble equipment for servicing and return to service.
- Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance, including lubrication, and component checks, gear boxes, chain and padding inspections.
- Assist with DC maintenance requirements such as (but not limited to) refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.
- Perform inspections and cleaning; do specific gravity checks; evaluate cable serviceability and repair damage.
- Develop a working knowledge of the required aspects of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.
• Ensure that spare parts usage, inventory and work order actions are accurately tracked and documented according to Company policy.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in industrial maintenance.
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Experience with distribution center industrial equipment, including (but not limited to) forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Basic computer skills with experience in a maintenance database such as MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
