Job Summary:

Performs day-to-day coordination and scheduling for outpatient procedures patients within interventional radiology.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as liaison for referring offices by coordinating anesthesia and scheduling of patients.
  • Enters pre- and post- inter-procedure orders, follows up with patients post-procedure. Rounds on post-procedure inpatients.
  • Participates in pre-procedure work-up and post-procedure recovery of patients.
  • Assesses trended data and identifies opportunities for improvement through collaboration with leaders.
  • Collaborates with management and subject matter experts to understand the desired performance. Assesses learning needs, and develops appropriate training solutions.
  • Gathers, analyzes and reports data related to performance and achievement of project objectives and timelines. Tracks issues and works to improve processes, efficiency and compliances of best practice standards including electronic documentation standards.
  • Participates in the identification and development of competencies. Participates in the development, deployment and monitoring of the interdisciplinary practice model, safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in workflow efficiency and standard work design.
  • Participates in staffing.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's in Nursing


EXPERIENCE

  • Two years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional driving.
  • Rare crawling and running.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
