Senior Core Java Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Core Java Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Core Java Developer, you will be an integral part of the software development department supporting critical backend systems. Location: New York, NY / Hybrid

What's the Job?

• Develop and maintain high-performance, real-time, low-latency multithreaded server-side applications using Core Java.
• Implement new features and optimize existing codebases leveraging Java 18+ features such as Executor framework and Generics.
• Design, develop, and query databases using SQL Server, Sybase, and Oracle to support application functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of web services and web frameworks like Spring and J2EE.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and best practices.

What's Needed?

• Extensive experience in real-time, low-latency, multithreaded server-side application development.
• Proficiency in Core Java (preferably Java 18 and above), including features like Executor framework and Generics.
• Strong knowledge of collections, concurrency packages, HashMap, ArrayList, and sorting algorithms.
• Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server, Sybase, and Oracle, including designing and querying databases.
• Fair understanding of J2EE web frameworks like Spring and web services development.
