HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is located outside of Jacksonville FL in the suburb of Orange Park FL and is off of Kingsley Avenue.

We are looking for someone to work Friday-Saturday-Sunday from 7am to 7pm.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs technical procedures, applying magnetic resonance imaging techniques for the purpose of detecting pathology. Responsible for regulating, cleaning and disinfecting equipment used to produce the images as well as process and organize the image in PACS.

ESSENTIAL CORE FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential core function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, experience, and ability necessary to perform this job.

  • Uses knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergency procedures to provide safe and effective patient care.
  • Maintains strict infection control techniques at all times.
  • Practices, develops and endorses customer service skills in relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
  • Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care or the services delivered.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
  • Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm.
  • Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Training in an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Radiology Technology program with a Certificate or AS/BS Degree required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

No Travel Required

1 year of MRI experience preferred
