Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Yard Operations
Manage the daily organization, cleanliness, and safety of the yard and storage areas
Track inventory of tools, materials, equipment, and parts
Receive and verify incoming deliveries
Stage equipment, materials, and tools for upcoming projects
Coordinate daily yard needs with project managers, field supervisors, and office personnel
Ensure proper storage and handling of landscape materials, plants, soils, and chemicals
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment in accordance with OSHA standards
Driving & Equipment Transport
Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to job sites throughout Southern California
Safely operate company trucks, trailers, and other vehicles
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain required driver documentation
Coordinate delivery schedules with project and field teams
Pick up materials from suppliers, nurseries, and vendors
Load and unload equipment and materials safely and efficiently
Fleet & Equipment Maintenance
Perform preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment
Complete oil changes, filter changes, fluid checks, belt and tire maintenance, and other routine services
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving mowers, skid steers, trenchers, irrigation equipment, and other landscape machinery
Inspect fleet and equipment regularly to identify potential problems before they cause downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
Coordinate outside repairs and vendors when issues exceed in-house capabilities
Maintain parts inventory and order supplies as needed
Ensure all equipment is clean, fueled, serviced, and ready for daily field operations
Qualifications

Required:

3+ years of experience in yard management, fleet maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a similar role
Hands-on mechanical experience with small engines, landscape equipment, and/or heavy equipment
Experience safely operating trucks and trailers
Valid California Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities
Ability to lift, load, unload, and work outdoors in varying conditions

Preferred:

Experience within the landscape, construction, or related industries
Bilingual English/Spanish
Familiarity with common landscape equipment and machinery brands
