About the Position
TransForce is seeking experienced CDL-A Drivers for local operations in Lithia Springs, Georgia. This position offers steady work, a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, home-daily routes, and the opportunity to join a driver-focused team.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $28 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Start Time: Approximately 1:00 a.m.–5:00 a.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Employment Type: Temp-to-perm
- Home Time: Home daily on local routes
- Overnight Routes: Occasional single-night out-and-back trips may be assigned
Job Details
- Route Type: Local
- Freight: General freight, primarily drop-and-hook
- Handling: Approximately 85–90% pull-off-and-sign deliveries, with freight breakdowns required at times
- Equipment: Single- and double-axle day cabs pulling primarily 53-foot dry van trailers
- Transmission: Automatic
- Overnight Accommodations: Hotel accommodations and meals are paid for when overnight routes are assigned
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL-A day cab on assigned local routes
- Deliver general freight to assigned customers while following applicable safety standards
- Complete pull-off-and-sign deliveries and perform freight breakdowns when required
- Safely handle and secure freight throughout the delivery process
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations
- Follow all safety procedures and delivery protocols
- Complete occasional single-night overnight routes when assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Ability to safely operate day cabs and dry van trailers
- Ability to handle freight and perform breakdowns when required
