Full job description
Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a UX Hardware Electrical Engineer to join their team. As a UX Hardware Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development Department supporting the Infotainment and Connectivity team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: UX Hardware Electrical Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $85-$90/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Own the development of key human-machine interfaces (HMI) used by riders to interact with autonomous vehicles.
- Specify electrical component and system requirements, and lead engineering discussions with suppliers.
- Develop prototypes, test, and iterate on hardware designs to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, and system teams to refine existing solutions and develop new ones.
- Conduct root cause analysis during development, validation, and deployment phases to resolve issues efficiently.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in electrical component and system design, troubleshooting, and project management.
- Experience working with automotive networks such as CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, and A2B.
- Proficiency with onboard digital serial interfaces like SPI, UART, I2C, and I2S.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
