Full job description

We are seeking an Azure AKS Architect with strong expertise in Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The role will focus on designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable manufacturing solutions and integrations while providing technical leadership to development teams.

Required Technical/Functional Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps.
  • Strong application development experience with .NET or another programming language.
  • Experience designing user interfaces and navigation for shop-floor/manufacturing systems.
  • Strong SQL Server skills, including SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with SOAP/REST APIs, web services, XML, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience with JIRA/qTest.
  • Experience designing and building Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience with Opcenter or other MES platforms.
  • Experience integrating MES with machine interfaces using OPC technologies, such as Kepware or RSLinx.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS, containerization, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Engage with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze manufacturing solution requirements.
  • Develop high-level solution designs and provide effort estimates for design, development, validation, and deployment.
  • Analyze requirements and prepare detailed technical designs aligned with business functions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing solutions using MES/Opcenter and Azure AKS.
  • Develop and support integrations with enterprise systems and shop-floor equipment.
  • Monitor solution performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on architecture and solution design.
  • Review technical solutions and ensure adherence to architecture, security, and performance standards.
  • Coordinate deployments across Development, QA, and Production environments.
  • Support installation and validation activities in accordance with approved deployment and qualification procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
