Summary of Responsibilities:

About the Role

ATC is seeking a Civil Design Engineering Intern to support the work of our Design Engineers and Designers. You’ll contribute to real-world utility projects while gaining experience in civil design and transmission engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and organize engineering records and data for use in design development
• Participate in material procurement and support project design documentation
• Assist in preparing detailed drawings and conducting structural analysis
• Review and integrate field markups into finalized as-built drawings
• Update asset databases and confirm field conditions to ensure design accuracy
• Review external engineering consultant scopes of services for cost, schedule and project scope alignment
• Occasionally participate in field work to verify design implementations

What You’ll Bring

You’re a bachelor’s degree student in Civil Engineering with:
• Interest in utility design and infrastructure development
• Working knowledge of CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• A valid driver’s license for occasional field visits

The pay range for this position is $23-27/hr.  The pay range is a general guideline. Employment offers are evaluated individually and consider qualifications, experience and academic achievements.
