Full job description

Our client, a leader in precision optics manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspection Technician to join their team. As a Quality Inspection Technician, you will be an integral part of the quality assurance department supporting the production and inspection processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Inspection Technician

Location: Boulder, CO

Pay Range: $22–$26/hour

Shift: Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

What's the Job?

  • Perform detailed inspections of optical components in laboratory, cleanroom, and fabrication environments
  • Utilize interferometry, vision systems, and laser-based measurement techniques to ensure precision
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications accurately
  • Maintain and troubleshoot metrology equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate calibration records

What's Needed?

  • Optics Technology Certificate strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in optics manufacturing or metrology preferred
  • Hands-on experience with optomechanical setups and laser systems preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of metrology experience or equivalent STEM education
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to measurement accuracy
