Accounting Manager, Construction Job Costing

Location: Stockbridge, GA (On-site)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000 to $100,000 per year

Lead the accounting function for a growing, owner-led commercial construction company, working side by side with ownership and project teams.

Must-Haves

• 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Experience supervising or leading accounting staff
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, cash flow, and financial reporting
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Tech-savvy and comfortable adopting new systems
• Hands-on and comfortable working directly with an entrepreneurial owner

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day accounting and a three-person accounting team
• Manage month-end close, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Oversee AP, AR, collections, and customer billing
• Prepare financial statements and management reports
• Monitor cash flow and build short-term forecasts
• Strengthen job costing and project accounting
• Build and maintain accounting controls
• Support budgeting and forecasting with the owner
• Partner with project managers and coordinators
• Automate and streamline accounting processes
• Coordinate with the outside CPA

Nice-to-Haves

• Construction, specialty contracting, or installation accounting experience
• Project-based or job-cost accounting background
• Experience in a $10M to $20M growing company

Compensation and Benefits

• $80,000 to $100,000 per year
