Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized therapy programs based on patient need, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Support patients during therapy sessions, aiding in their physical exercises and adjustments to treatment regimens as necessary.
- Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress, providing insightful reports back to the supervising therapist to modify treatment plans effectively.
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment between sessions, ensuring everything is sanitized and ready for optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques, techniques, and exercises to encourage adherence to treatment protocols, enhancing recovery outcomes.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, addressing concerns and questions promptly to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.
- Maintain productivity standards and efficiency metrics to qualify for performance-related compensation incentives.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will primarily focus on adult and elderly patients dealing with orthopedic and neurological conditions, including those requiring vestibular rehabilitation and interventions for balance and fall-risk issues. Our team specializes in individualized care plans, and you will play a crucial part in monitoring and engaging patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions, thus significantly impacting their functional abilities and quality of life.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Florida.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective interaction with patients and team members alike.
- The ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in managing therapy sessions.
Preferred Experience
- At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an outpatient orthopedic or neurological setting. Experience with vestibular rehabilitation is considered a plus.
- A proven track record of providing compassionate patient care, with a particular emphasis on safety and outcomes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management tools to track and document therapy sessions efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits
Emerald Valley PT offers a competitive salary range from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience, along with an attractive benefits package which includes comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off (PTO), and coverage for recognized holidays.
