Wiring/Assembly Technician

The Role: 
In this position, you’ll build, install, and prepare wiring and electrical systems on equipment prior to shipment. We’re looking for someone who brings strong communication skills and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
o    Pre Wire equipment with Junction boxes and wiring connections per wiring schematics.
o    Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly, hazardous and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
o    Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical devices.
o    Builds and installs control and control equipment such as switches, relays.
o    Connects power cables to equipment.
o    Operate lift truck with certification.
o    Other duties assigned due to the need of the business.    
Skills and Abilities
o    Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
o    Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
o    Computer and ERP system familiarity
o    Organized, proactive, and detail oriented
o    Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
o    Must be able to pass a physical capacity profile and drug screen

Physical/Environmental Requirements
o    Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and moving machinery
o    Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally
 
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
o    Technical degree- preferred.
