Overview:
Carmichael Lynch is hiring an Art Director to work primarily on our Xfinity client account. Our junior/mid-level Art Directors bring energy and excitement to the department, taking big swings on big ideas, honing in on fundamentals, and are reliable teammates with a hunger to learn, break things, and explore.
Because our next Art Director will be, in large part, dedicated to our Xfinity account (social AOR), we are seeking a culture-obsessed, entertainment fanatic who can work directly with more senior teams and directors on concepting and executing social media creative content across online video, static, experiential, and partner/influencer. The ideal candidate will have great taste/eye for design (and what really works on social), sharp conceptual skills, and deep pop culture knowledge to create scroll-stopping content across social platforms. We expect our next Art Director to have a solid working knowledge of the fundamentals of design and creative composition, needing only a few round of feedback to stick the landing on the work.

- Consistently delivers boundary-pushing conceptual work across broadcast, social, OOH, digital, and experiential.
- Confidence in design and composition fundamentals.
- Art direction and design craft that requires only a few rounds of feedback.
- Formidable player on integrated campaign work, consistently having full concepts or builds that go to client and move forward.
- Is gaining or ready to gain production experience that they can take lead on the work output on set.
People Skills
- Gaining confidence and comfortability presenting and selling work to internal teams and clients.
- In high demand across projects- highly reliable, knows social and digital well, takes and applies feedback well, and executes with minimal hand-holding.
- Provides support and natural mentorship to summer interns.
- Understands cross-departmental collaboration and stewards strategic integrated creative.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept Development: Ideate both independently and in collaboration with social strategists, copywriters, designers, and production to create a high volume of on-brand and relevant content across platforms (Meta/Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, etc.).
- Creative Content Execution: Execute breakthrough social-first creative campaigns that seamlessly tie entertainment, culture, and social media trends. Design and produce high-quality static and video content independently and on teams.
- Executional Excellence: Ensure the highest level of craft in the execution of all creative assets, from visual design to final production, paying attention to detail, quality and consistency.
- Innovation & Trends: Stay up to date with social/entertainment trends, sports, industry trends, and design technology/capabilities while translating these insights into relevant brand moments.
- Culture: Contributes to company culture with in-office presence, collaboration skills, and engagement at company-wide events and opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years agency or related experience, with significant social media portfolio
- Deep knowledge of entertainment, sports, pop culture, and social media trends
- Formidable design skills across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Understanding of social video and static best practices
- Exceptional typography, composition, and visual storytelling abilities
- Self-starter mentality with proven ability to source assets and solve creative challenges independently
- Understanding of unique social platform specifications and best practices
- Ability to manage creative projects from concept to completion while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—both verbal and visual

The salary range for this position is listed below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to budget, relevant experience, qualifications, and tenure in similar roles. Consideration may also be given to internal salary data for current or former employees in the same or similar positions.
Salary Range: $50,000 - 70,000 annually
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
