Muscleworks Rehab & Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our professional healthcare team. Work Environment
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our hospital-based facility, you will work onsite within a collaborative team of licensed physical therapists, healthcare providers, and specialists. Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable work-life balance. You will have access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and a supportive team culture that values each member's contributions to patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment programs tailored to the individual needs of patients, fostering effective rehabilitation strategies.
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, under the direct supervision of a physical therapist.
- Educate and demonstrate exercises to patients, ensuring they understand their rehabilitation plans and encouraging adherence to prescribed activities.
- Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions through regular evaluations and detailed documentation, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure cohesive patient care, sharing insights and feedback regarding patient needs and progress.
- Utilize specialized techniques, such as trigger point therapy, when appropriate to address specific patient conditions effectively.
- Support initiatives related to occupational health, contributing to a comprehensive approach to patient wellness and recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal PTA will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from young athletes recovering from injuries to older adults dealing with chronic conditions. This role requires a compassionate approach, focusing not just on pain relief but also on improving patients' overall quality of life. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their mobility, facilitating their journey toward independence and well-being.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or a related field is required.
- A valid and active state PTA license is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques to support effective patient interventions.
- Proficient in manual therapy techniques and familiar with advanced treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience
Experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with electronic health record systems will be advantageous, as it will facilitate seamless documentation and communication within the healthcare team.
Compensation and Benefits
