Yellowstone Local is proud to represent TDI Refrigeration, an industry leader in commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVACR services.
Earn $60–$70 per hour leading complex commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVACR service work throughout the Aurora, CO area. You'll receive a company vehicle for field operations, gas card, company phone, and tool account while handling advanced troubleshooting, customer support, commissioning, and technical leadership responsibilities.
This is a field-based leadership role without direct supervisory duties, with opportunities to guide and mentor technicians while continuing to work hands-on with refrigeration, HVACR, electrical, plumbing, controls, and mechanical systems.

What You’ll Do
Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVACR and refrigeration equipment
Work with electrical systems, plumbing, machinery, controls, and other specialized equipment related to company operations
Help the field supervisor coordinate service technicians, projects, workloads, priorities, and deadlines
Provide field guidance, technical training, mentoring, and support to technicians as needed
Manage and maintain high-profile customer accounts while delivering responsive, professional service
Troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions, system failures, and operational issues
Identify root causes and develop effective repair solutions that reduce downtime and improve system performance
Perform inspections and quality assurance checks to confirm repairs and installations meet company standards, industry codes, and customer expectations
Serve as a primary customer contact for technical questions, service updates, concerns, and issue resolution
Complete service reports, work orders, site logs, equipment documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and on time
Support service and construction managers with the documentation needed for projects, commissioning, warranty submissions, and customer records
Review service performance, productivity metrics, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement
Follow and enforce safety regulations, hazard controls, risk mitigation procedures, and accident-prevention practices
Safely work around propane, ammonia, synthetic refrigerants, cleaners, and other materials used in refrigeration operations
Manage tools, equipment, parts, materials, and labor resources efficiently
Order and replenish parts and materials accurately while coordinating with the service manager and field supervisor
Support start-up, commissioning, warranty, and project closeout activities
Drive a company vehicle and maintain a safe, acceptable driving record
Perform field work that may involve high noise levels, extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals with disabilities
Work a flexible schedule as needed to meet customer needs
Perform additional duties related to TDI Refrigeration operations and company programs

Must Haves
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Service Technician, HVAC Technician, Refrigeration
Technician, or Industrial Refrigeration Technician
Trade school education or equivalent hands-on experience in HVACR, refrigeration, mechanical systems, or a related field
Advanced experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial or industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems
Universal EPA Section 608 Certification
HAZWOPER Certification
RETA CIRO Certification (Refrigeration) or NATE Certification (HVAC)
Ability to obtain or maintain additional certifications required for start-up, commissioning, and warranty work
Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, HVACR systems, electrical systems, controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
Working knowledge of industry safety regulations, mechanical codes, refrigeration standards, and service best practices
Experience using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, service software, and equipment documentation
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause problem-solving skills
Leadership experience with the ability to train, guide, and mentor field technicians
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and account management skills
Ability to organize multiple priorities and complete work accurately in a fast-paced field environment
Ability to complete detailed service reports, work orders, project documentation, and site records
Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
Ability to participate in the company's DMV Pull Notice Program
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on service demands and customer needs
