Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac rhythm interpretation; experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone); general Med/Surg skillset including care of patients with tubes/drains, IV starts, blood products, and wound care/dressing changes.

Unit Details: Fast-paced observation Med/Surg/Tele unit caring for cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and other diagnoses. RN ratio 1:5-6 on days and nights; in surge staffing could see ratios of up to 1:7-8. CNA ratio 1:12. No HUC. Charge nurse may have a patient assignment and is a resource for staff. Phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT 24/7, hospitalist on site dayshift and virtual evenings/overnight, intensivist 24/7, and remote telemetry monitoring with tele tech. Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Massimo monitors in all rooms.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call; can be called back up to 3a for Nights and up to 3p for Days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 as needed within scope of practice: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH).

Special Requests: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.
